SOMERSET CUP - U15 - STOTHERTS 27 BRIDGWATER 5

SUNDAY 22nd JANUARY UNDER 15 SOMERSET CUP Stothert & Pitt 27 points Bridgwater & Albion 5 points The Cranes Under 15 squad moved into the quarter final of the Somerset Cup with a comfortable win but had to repel a strong and determined Bridgwater team in the second half before wrapping up the game with three tries in the final quarter. Things were going extremely well and playing up the slight slope Stotherts moved into 10-0 lead with two unconverted tries that Bridgwater reduced to 10-5 with a try of their own early in the second half. Both teams fell foul of the referee on to many occasions and Stotherts did extremely well to defend against a Bridgwater side that were willing to run the ball at all opportunities. Stotherts youngsters stuck to their task and when the ball could be moved fluently they scored three unconverted tries in the final quarter for in the end a comfortable victory. The draw for the quarter final is eagerly awaited
